Fisher to Forego Possible 6th Year of Eligibility

Sean Fisher plans to enroll in medical school and will not return to Nebraska for a possible 6th year of eligibility. The senior linebacker made the announcement on Monday saying it was time to move on from football.

Fisher had considered the possibility of continuing his Husker career for another season. He would've been granted an additional year of eligibility after his 2008 and 2010 seasons ended prematurely due to injury. Fisher, who owns a 4.0 grade point average, plans to pursu

Fisher played in 39 games at Nebraska with 16 career starts. He finished with 107 tackles.
