The Nebraska women's basketball team opens a two-game Big Ten road swing by heading to Bloomington to take on Indiana on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Tip-off between the Huskers (11-4, 1-1 Big Ten) and the Hoosiers (10-5, 1-1 Big Ten) is set for 5:30 p.m. (central) with live national television coverage by the Big Ten Network. Eric Collins and LaChina Robinson will be on the call for the Huskers' Big Ten road opener.
The Husker Sports Network will provide a live radio broadcast of the game with Matt Coatney and Jeff Griesch on the call, including flagships B107.3 FM in Lincoln, The Wolf 93.3 FM in Omaha and 880 AM KRVN in Lexington. A free live audio stream will be available on Huskers.com.
Nebraska will be looking to bounce back from a 69-66 overtime loss to No. 14 Purdue on Saturday in Lincoln. The game marked the third straight overtime game between the Huskers and Boilermakers. In three all-time meetings with Indiana's other Big Ten team, Nebraska has played six overtimes.
Point guard Lindsey Moore led the Huskers with 22 points and eight assists against Purdue. The 5-9 senior from Covington, Wash., is off to a strong start in conference action, averaging 24.0 points, 6.0 assists and 2.5 steals while hitting 8-of-15 three-point attempts in two Big Ten games.
Junior forward Jordan Hooper has averaged a double-double with 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, including 15 points and 14 boards against Purdue. A first-team All-Big Ten pick, the 6-2 forward from Alliance, Neb., leads the Huskers with 18.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
Sophomore Emily Cady is also turning up her production in conference play. The 6-2 forward from Seward, Neb., is also averaging a double-double with 10.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists through two Big Ten contests.
