Lincoln Christian Wins Spirit Sword

The Spirit Sword is staying at Lincoln Christian where its home has been for the past four years as the Crusaders topped Lincoln Lutheran 53-20 at Abel Stadium on Friday. Lincoln Christian reeled off 28 points to start the game.

Logan Power and Ben Plambeck combined for 387 rushing yards and six touchdowns to power the Crusaders. Plambeck tallied 286 yards and four touchdowns on just 33 carries.

Marshall Oetting completed 17 of 25 passes for 178 yards and his twin brother, Micah Oetting led Lincoln Lutheran with 8 receptions for 120 yards.

Lincoln Christian improves to 4-2 on the season and hosts Syracuse next week before completing the regular season at Falls City in two weeks. Lincoln Lutheran falls to 4-2 on the season and faces Ashland-Greenwood next Friday before going on the road to face Syracuse to close out the year.
