Nebraska Looks to Avenge 2011 Loss to Wisconsin

Nebraska is using revenge as motivation for this week's Big Ten opener against Wisconsin in Lincoln.

The Badgers gave the Cornhuskers a harsh initiation into the conference last year, winning 48-17 in Madison in a nationally televised game.

Nebraska's Taylor Martinez threw three interceptions over a six-minute span of the first and second halves. He said he can't get that memory out of his mind.

Offensive lineman Jeremiah Sirles said he remembers having "an awful feeling" at the end of the game. He said he and his teammates "owe" Wisconsin.

Nebraska ended non-conference play with a 73-7 victory over FCS-level Idaho State on Saturday.

Martinez said the Huskers have rebounded from their road loss to UCLA and will be "tough to beat" if they keep their momentum going.
