The Nebraska women's basketball team opens the 2012-13 season ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press Preseason Poll released on Oct. 27. It marks the 15th consecutive week the Huskers have been ranked in the AP Poll.

Nebraska, which is coming off a 24-9 campaign in 2011-12, returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from last season's team that went 10-6 in the Big Ten.

Wade Watch List honorees Jordan Hooper and Lindsey Moore lead the Huskers, along with returning sophomore starters Emily Cady and Hailie Sample.

The Huskers open exhibition play against Pittsburg State in their final season at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Monday, Oct. 29, at 7:05 p.m. The game will be the first by a Big Ten team in 2012-13. The Gorillas advanced to the 2012 NCAA Division II Elite Eight and finished with a 27-6 record.
