LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- The fourth-ranked Nebraska volleyball team is beginning its final season playing in the NU Coliseum.
The Cornhuskers have won 94 percent of their matches in the building since 1975, and the defending Big Ten champions have sold out 164 straight entering Friday's match against Saint Louis. Defending national champion UCLA visits Saturday.
The Huskers will move into a reconfigured Devaney Sports Center next season. Capacity will increase from 4,500 at the Coliseum to 7,500 at Devaney.
Coach John Cook says he's confident the electric atmosphere and large fan base will follow the team to the Devaney.
Players and coaches plan to honor the history of the Coliseum throughout the season.
Senior Hannah Werth says "the tradition is in the air" and "in the walls."
