The Rundown: Inside PrepZone Weekly (August 23)

By  |

On this week's installment of PrepZone Weekly, we preview the high school football season which begins Thursday night with a handful of games around the state. We'll also preview Friday's games and reveal our 10/11 Sports Overtime spotlight game.

In Class B, we preview the Aurora/McCook game on Friday. The game provided a tight contest in 2011 with McCook winning 16-13.

10/11 will be live at Seacrest Field for the Lincoln East/Fremont game to kick off the Class A season.

We'll also preview the high school volleyball season that begins a week from Thursday night. We also will recap an epic high school softball game that happened earlier this week between Lincoln East and Beatrice that lasted 10 innings and had 48 hits between the two schools.

Plus, we'll have comments from Rhonda Blanford-Green, the new Executive Director at the Nebraska School Activities Association, who took over the organization in July. We'll also feature a high school athlete in our Player Yearbook segment and crown our Shot of the Week at the end of the show.

Join us Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. LIVE on MyTV or you can watch a replay of the show at 12:37 a.m. Friday morning on 10/11.
