The Nebraska Volleyball team has a motto for the 2012 season, "Unfinished Business," and it comes in the final season at the NU Coliseum before the Huskers play in a renovated Devaney Sports Center beginning in 2013.
"The girls came up with that but I took it one step further and used the 1994 football team. If you look at their documentary of that football season their theme was unfinished business. We showed them that DVD two nights ago," head coach John Cook said.
"To see that documentary it made us realize that great teams we all have faults. The failures are what is going to make us better. Failures make you successful," senior outside hitter Hannah Werth commented.
The Huskers hope their hard work and dedication this season pays dividends as they look to hang another banner in the rafters of the Coliseum.
"This place is unlike any other in the entire country. The tradition is in the air. It's in the walls. People that came before us, we hold their names when we play when we step on the court. I feel so blessed and humbled to have this opportunity to be in this position," Werth said.
The first match in the final season at the NU Coliseum is set for August 24 against St. Louis.
