Taylor Martinez didn't play like his usual self against Kansas. Martinez ran for just 71 yards and was limited in his rushing capabilities. The NU quarterback said he couldn't cut side-to-side. That's all history, according to Shawn Watson.
Watson on Wednesday said Martinez has performed at practice like he did prior to his ankle injury.
"He's like old Taylor," Watson said. "It's good to have him back."
Watson says he's noticed better lateral movement and acceleration out of Martinez in the week leading up to the Texas A&M game. Watson says Martinez is getting close to 100 percent health-wise.
Martinez was hurt in the first half against Missouri on October 30th. He sat out the Iowa State game and played to a conservative game plan against Kansas last week.
