Nebraska’s Will Compton was given a FlipCam to take with him on Nebraska’s trip to Chicago as a part of Big Ten Media Days in Chicago. He had over 30 videos recording his travels in the Windy City.
“It’s awesome to be here, sometimes it can be long, but, it’s an honor to be here,” Compton said.
Over the two-day event, Compton created a lot of laughter during the trip to Chicago, with the help of his teammates. He even attempted an interview with head coach Bo Pelini.
“Rex and Kyler give me ideas and we’ll just start doing stuff, trying it out,” Compton commented.
“You get people that don’t think the camera’s on them, you get in their face and actually interview them, so it’s been fun,” Rex Burkhead said.
Compton was given the video recorder on one condition – he had to come back with Tom Osborne laughing.
“He hasn’t been around, we saw him [Osborne] on the plane and he was out, I didn’t see him at media day, he didn’t come to eat with us, I think he had some other things going on,” Compton said.
“We told Bo about the plan, he said he could Osborne to laugh, so maybe on the plane, I don’t know if we’ll have to tickle him or what, he’s usually an all-business guy,” Kyler Reed said.
The Huskers mixed business with fun as they hope this season provides a season’s worth of memories beginning with the season opener against Southern Miss on September 1.
