The Nebraska football program held its annual pro day workouts on Thursday, March 8, giving 13 former Huskers a chance to display their skills for over 20 NFL scouts. The former Huskers worked out inside the Hawks Championship Center for over two hours as they went through drills which included the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and bench press, along with individual position drills.
Cornerback Marcus Mendoza had one of the more impressive days of any Husker, posting a 45 ½-inch vertical jump, which is a new Nebraska record. Mendoza also clocked a 4.37 40-yard dash.
Jared Crick, who also worked out at the NFL Combine in February, participated in the bench press where he tallied 26 reps. Crick is coming off of a pectoral injury which he suffered during the Ohio State game on Oct. 8.
