Jordan Hooper led the Huskers with 19 points and 18 rebounds in Nebraska’s 68-59 win over Wisconsin at the Devaney Center Sunday afternoon. Emily Cady scored 13 points, Lindsey Moore and Kaitlyn Burke added 11 points each in the win over the Badgers.
Hooper recorded her Big Ten leading 11th double-double of the season in Sunday's game.
The Huskers led 42-24 at the half and came out in the second half with their largest lead of 26 points at the 13:40 mark. Nebraska’s last field goal came at the 5:41 mark of the second half. Wisconsin outscored the Huskers 35-26 in the second half, but the Huskers held the edge in rebounds at 34 to 31.
Nebraska hit 43 percent from the field and just 29 percent beyond the arc. The Huskers hit 17 of 21 free throws to give them the win down the stretch.
Nebraska (20-6, 9-5) hosts Ohio State next Sunday for Senior Day at the Devaney Center. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. The Huskers will honor seniors Kaitlyn Burke and Harleen Sidhu before the game.
