The Nebraska women's basketball team takes to the road for the first time in 2012-13 when the Huskers clash with South Dakota State in Brookings on Sunday afternoon. Tip-off between the Huskers (3-0) and Jackrabbits (1-2) is set for 2 p.m., with free live audio on Huskers.com.
No over-the-air broadcast of Sunday's game is available because of direct conflicts with Husker volleyball and men's basketball.
A live video stream of Sunday's game will be available to HuskersNside subscribers through a stream share from South Dakota State. Matt Coatney and Jeff Griesch will be on the call for the Huskers.com audio, while SDSU will provide the audio for the video stream through GoJacks.com.
Nebraska heads into Sunday's game after completing a perfect 3-0 home stand with a 77-55 win over Northern Arizona on Friday. Jordan Hooper led the Huskers with 27 points and seven rebounds in just 24 minutes, while Lindsey Moore added 10 points and nine assists. Emily Cady pitched in 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Cady and Moore also played just 24 minutes. Nebraska hit 11-of-22 threes against the Lumberjacks, including five from Hooper and three from freshman guard Sadie Murren.
South Dakota State comes into the Sunday showdown with a 1-2 record, following a 63-54 loss to Creighton in the Jackrabbits' home opener at Frost Arena on Wednesday night. SDSU opened the season with a 71-47 loss to Villanova in Minneapolis, Nov. 10, before defeating Washington State, 65-56, in Minnesota on Nov. 11.
Although the Jackrabbits are relatively new to the NCAA Division I ranks, they have become a perennial NCAA Tournament team out of the Summit League under Coach Aaron Johnston. The Jacks have made four straight NCAA Tournament appearances (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), and SDSU is 75-15 against conference competition since joining the Summit in 2007-08.
