With the non-conference part of its schedule now complete, the Nebraska soccer team (4-4-1, 1-0-0) has 10 Big Ten Conference games left on the 2012 schedule.
After opening Big Ten play last Friday with a 2-0 win on the road at Northwestern, the Huskers host their conference home opener on Friday, Sept. 21, when they play host to the Purdue Boilermakers (5-3-1, 0-1-0) for a 4:30 p.m. game at the Nebraska Soccer Field.
The Huskers hold a 3-1-0 all-time advantage over the Boilermakers, including a 3-0 win in West Lafayette, Ind., last season. Purdue enters the game one-game back in the Big Ten standings after dropping its Big Ten opener to Michigan State on the road.
Friday’s game is scheduled to be streamed live on BTN.com (subscription required) and live stats will be available at Huskers.com.
Nebraska will complete the weekend when it hosts the Indiana Hoosiers for a 1 p.m. game on Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Nebraska Soccer Field. Sunday’s game will be a Pepsi Pack the House game, which means general admission tickets are $1 and Pepsi products are also $1. The two teams have split two previous meetings in the all-time series.
The Hoosiers enter the weekend with a 5-3-1 overall record an a 0-1-0 conference record after they fell to Michigan, 3-0, last weekend on the road in Ann Arbor.
