The Nebraska baseball team (0-4, 0-0 Big Ten) heads back to Big 12 country this weekend as it heads to Austin, Texas, for a three-game series with the No. 25 Texas Longhorns at Disch-Faulk Field. The series opens with a 7 p.m. showdown on Friday night, continues on Saturday at 1 p.m. and concludes on Sunday at Noon.
All three games will be shown live on the Longhorn Network and at LonghornNetwork.com.
The Huskers and Longhorns have met 57 times, with the all-time series starting in 1954. UT holds a one game advantage in the series at 29-28. The Huskers and Longhorns last met during the 2011 season, Nebraska’s last in the Big 12, with UT coming to Lincoln for a three-game set. Texas won the series, 2-1, but the Huskers took the series finale, 6-3.
Nebraska last traveled to Austin during the 2010 season when it opened conference play with the Longhorns. Texas took the series, 2-1, winning the first and third games of the weekend.
