The Nebraska football team took to the Gass Practice Fields Saturday to open Fall Camp in preparation for the 2012 season. Head Coach Bo Pelini gave his comments to the media following practice.
"Good first day. It is what it was. It was a first day. The older guys are ahead of the younger guys. Everybody on that field good significant reps," Pelini said.
There's a lot of new faces on the 105-man roster, including a talented freshman class and seven walk-on players.
"Its not easy. We have a lot of kids. A lot goes into the 105. At the end of the day, we go with the guys who provide us depth."
Nebraska is back at practice on Sunday. The team doesn't get a day off until next weekend. The season opener is September 1 against Southern Miss at Memorial Stadium.
