LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- John Papuchis is getting a 50 percent raise
for taking over as Nebraska's new defensive coordinator, with his
salary going from $200,000 a year to $300,000.

The athletic department provided football coaching salary
information to The Associated Press on Friday.

Coach Bo Pelini promoted Papuchis from defensive line coach to
defensive coordinator after Carl Pelini left to become head coach
at Florida Atlantic. Carl Pelini was coordinator for four seasons
and earned $375,000 in 2011.

Tim Beck is being paid $365,000 after earning $345,000 in his
first season as offensive coordinator. Rick Kaczenski, who left
Iowa to become the defensive line coach, is being paid $195,000.

Bo Pelini's salary goes to $2,875,000 beginning March 1. That's
up from $2,775,000.
