NWU Art Department to Feature Local High Schoolers

Posted: 11/19/2014 - Nebraska Wesleyan’s Department of Art will host Bridge December 2-7. High school seniors were invited to submit artwork to be considered for the exhibition. Fifty students were selected for the exhibit. Over 80 entries were submitted.

Two Nights of Composition Premieres Upcoming at UNL

Updated: 11/17/2014 - The Composition program at the Glenn Korff School of music presents it’s WET INK concert series for the Fall 2014 semester. This two evening concert series features an especially varied and rich set of premieres from the student composers of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Lincoln Community Playhouse Adds 'Second Samuel' Performances

Updated: 11/17/2014 - Additional performances of Second Samuel will be held on November 21, 22 and 23. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for students and may be reserved at or by calling the box office between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Disney On Ice Launches Food Drive to Benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln

Updated: 11/12/2014 - Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt invites Lincoln area citizens to help fight hunger by collecting non-perishable items for the Food Bank of Lincoln. The food drive will kick off this Monday, November 10 with a radio remote over Digity Radio Station KFRX, a food drive partner of Disney on Ice. The radio remote will be held at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Wahoo High School Show Choir Chosen to Sing with Foreigner at the Lied

Updated: 11/07/2014 - As part of Foreigner's ongoing charity partnership with the Grammy Foundation, the Lied Center for Performing Arts in partnership with 92.9 The Eagle held open auditions for local middle and high school choirs to audition for the chance to perform Foreigner’s "I Want to Know What Love Is" during their live performance on the Lied Center stage Nov. 14. In addition to winning the opportunity to sing with Foreigner on stage, Foreigner will also award $500 to benefit Wahoo High School’s music program.
