The Lincoln Arts Council (LAC) is now accepting project grant applications from qualified arts organizations to support arts projects in Lincoln.
The grants are designed to assist in the sustainability of current programming or to fund new ideas. Grants can fund marketing, space & equipment rental, outside fees & services, and other miscellaneous expenses associated directly with the prospective project.
The LAC will be funding 13 projects up to $500 each.
Applications will be accepted starting January 1, 2013, and must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2013.
Projects that receive funding must occur between March 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013.
Notification of funding will occur by February 25, 2013, with distribution by March 1, 2013.
Applicant organizations must be an arts organization (50% or more of budget is allocated for arts programming) and a member of the LAC. Applicant organization must also be a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. The project itself must benefit Lincoln, and requests must not exceed $500 although the request may be used to supplement a larger budget.
The simplified application requires only contact information and one page of project description.
