The Lincoln Arts Council is pleased to announce a Community Supported Art program very similar to the many Community Supported Agriculture programs already in Lincoln.
Based on very successful programs in St. Paul, Minnesota and approximately 35 other similar efforts, sponsor Union Bank & Trust will support this program to bring together Lincoln artists and committed arts patrons. Nine artists will be selected by jury process to create works of art for fifty shareholder patrons. Three distribution events will give artists and patrons an opportunity to learn, share and build lasting relationships. For the artists, it’s an introduction to fifty patrons with resources, a love of the arts and a spirit of adventure that might lead to a lifetime relationship. For the patrons, it’s an introduction to new and emerging artists, those more mature artists seeking an alternative outlet, and the adventure of sharing an artist’s journey through a continuing relationship.
