Tickets for the Platte Valley Roller Vixen’s first bout of the season are now on sale. Get ready for some roller derby action as the Platte Valley Roller Vixens take on the Norfolk Bruizin’ Bettys at 7 p.m. Jan 26th at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.
Tickets are $12 (plus fees) and can be purchased at the Heartland Events Center Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling (800) 745-3000. All seats are general admission.
Other scheduled bouts this season at the Heartland Events Center include:
— April 13 PVRV vs the Veteran City Rollers
— June 29 PVRV vs the Salina Sirens
The Platte Valley Roller Vixens were founded in the summer of 2011. This is a democratic roller derby league run by the skaters, for the skaters.
The Vixens are an all-female flat track roller derby league based in central Nebraska.
The Vixens are committed to being positive role models in their community through displays of athleticism, good sportsmanship, and volunteerism. Their mission as a non-profit organization is to spread the awareness of roller derby as a sport, empower women of all ages, and provide fun & entertainment (in hot pants). The Platte Valley Roller Vixens organization is entirely volunteer based from the skaters, referees and non-skating officials, to the individuals who are there to help in any way they can!
