"Rust and Bone" opens at The Ross on Friday, January 25.
“[RUST AND BONE is] a strong, emotionally replete experience, and also a tour de force of directorial button pushing. Mr. Audiard is a canny showman, adept at manipulating...,” writes film critic A.O. Scott in the New York Times.
Time film critic Mary Corliss writes, “Schoenaerts exudes a masculinity that is both effortless and troubled... Cotillard demonstrates again her eerie ability to write complex feelings on her face...”
“Jacques Audiard ('A Prophet') probes the psyches of two people in crisis,” according to Rolling Stone film critic Peter Travers. He continues, “His hypnotic film means to shake you, and does... Marion Cotillard is astonishing.”
RUST AND BONE is showing at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center on Friday, January 25 through Thursday, February 7.
The Motion Picture Association of America has rated RUST AND BONE “R” for strong sexual content, brief graphic nudity, some violence and language.
This program is being presented with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
