THE HAYMARKET THEATRE PRESENTS A SEPARATE PEACE SHOWCASING YOUTH TALENT
This September, join The Haymarket Theatre as we proudly present the stage adaptation of the classic John Knowles novel, A Separate Peace. This production will showcase both past and current students of The Haymarket Theatre program. A Separate Peace tells the story of the bonds that unite a group of boys as they face their senior year at a prestigious New England boarding school at the outbreak of World War Two. Gene, a quiet and introspective young man, and Phineas, a taunting daredevil and athlete have been close friends since they first came to school but beneath the surface there is an intense rivalry, one that culminates into the events of a single summer that much like the war itself could banish the innocence of the boys and their world. A Separate Peace is an illuminating parable of the dark side of adolescence, the time it takes to appreciate the delicate and ephemeral things in life, and the struggle to find the true self.
Directed by Robert Bonaventura.
Tickets: $15 General Admission, $10 Students/Seniors, FREE for Veterans of World War Two.
Performances start September 20th-29th, Thurs-Sat, at 7:30pm.
Call 402-477-2600 to reserve tickets.

Robert Bonnaventura has been working extensively with a group of current and past Nebraska Youth Theatre students over the course of the last month to prepare the actors for their transition into the Fall/Winter 2012 Mainstage Season at the Haymarket Theatre.
Bonnaventura insisted that the cast be age of the characters within play to ensure the authenticity of the performers.
It also doesn’t hurt that the students have been close friends since first coming to the Haymarket Theatre to take acting, technical, and performance based classes.
The bond that the young actors bring to the stage and their enthusiasm for presenting a mainstage production are an undeniable
