What's Happening on This Week's Buzz - July 29
On this week’s episode of Star City Buzz, we explore the Lincoln’s First Friday Artwalk which happens the first Friday of every month at galleries and businesses in downtown Lincoln. Another musical hits the Lincoln Community Playhouse stage. It’s 9 to 5: The Musical. The play follows three women through their troubles working in an office together. Catch it Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28 at 7:30PM as well as Sunday, July 29 at 2PM and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 2-4 at 7:30PM and Sunday, August 5 at 2PM. July is Lip Smackin' BBQ month. Our next stop takes us to Poppi’s BBQ located at 1501 Center Park Road in Lincoln. Poppi’s prides itself on making every customer more than satisfied with their visit. Another comedy hits theaters this weekend and it’s full of funny stars. The Watch stars Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, and Jonah Hill as they try to take down an alien invasion by forming a neighborhood watch group. Watch to see what Schmoes Know thinks about "The Watch."
Star City Buzz takes you Behind the Mic of 10/11’s own Cassie Anderson. We follow Cassie as she prepares for her wedding day coming up August 4th. She gives us the exclusive details about her husband-to-be including how they met and how he proposed. Watch the video to hear what Cassie has to say about her wedding day.
Finally, the Nebraska Repertory Theatre gets ready to close its busy summer season with a one-man play. One-Ham Manlet is a play starring Ryan Kathman as 18 characters from the Shakespeare tragedy Hamlet. Kathman adapted the play to make it one hour and added his personal flavor to each of the characters. Watch the video to hear more about the play. Catch One-Ham Manlet on July 31st at 7:30PM at the Howell Theater. Also, catch the Nebraska Repertory Theatre’s final production God of Carnage on August 5th.
