What's Happening on This Week's Buzz - June 24
On the summer premiere of Star City Buzz on 10/11, we show you parts of the many tours we've been a part of the past 12 weeks. Watch the video to go behind the scene of places like Rocket Fizz, the National Museum of Rollerskating and the Lied Center.
We skated to the Pershing Center to get the low down on the No Coast Derby Girls. These girls are tough and they know how to skate. They compete various times throughout the derby season. We spoke with the girls about life and skating, watch the video to see what these ladies are all about.
June is Burger Mania on Star City Buzz and our final stop is the UNL Dairy Store's P.O. Pears Cookout located at 33rd and Dairy Story Road (UNL's East Campus) in Lincoln. Enjoy a delicious half pound P.O. Pears burger at this cookout that occurs nearly twice a month during the summer. The Jiffy Burger features a half pound burger, bacon, Dairy Store cheese, and peanut butter, served with baked beans, macaroni salad, a pickle spear, and chips. Check out the video to see why the Dairy Store decided to bring back what some call the best burger in Lincoln. The next cook out is Friday, June 29th from 11AM to 2PM.
Get your rock on with the Broadway Musical based movie, Rock of Ages starring Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and many more. The movie follows a young female musician in the 80's who gets a job at a rock club where she hopes to one day perform. Watch Star City Buzz Movie Critic, Bonney Bowman's review to hear if it's worth the ticket.
In this week's Behind the Mic segment we head to 104.1 The Blaze to catch up with The Animal. He tell us about his 20 years at the station and why his job is awesome. Watch the video to hear what "The Animal" has to say about his personal life. "The Animal" is on 104.1 The Blaze Monday though Friday from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
Finally, since the show's beginning, we've been able to sit down with some pretty cool people. Watch the video to see what star's like Jane Alexander, Mike Posner, Larry Miller, and Rebecca Gilman had to say about their careers and personal life.
