Rat Pack Jazz to be Featured at First Friday Jazz November 7th

Posted: 10/30/2014 - Although new to the First Friday series, Rat Pack Jazz is well known throughout eastern Nebraska and the Midwest. The five person combo is headed by vocalist Johnny Adams and guitarist Ron Cooley. They are joined by upright bassist Andy Hall, saxophonist Dennis Strawn and percussionist Carlos Figueroa.

UNL Faculty Jazz Ensemble Performance Set for November 12

Posted: 10/29/2014 - The group will perform a recital featuring original works and arrangement they performed on their European tour, which included performances at The Montreux International Jazz Festival, Jazz at Vienne Festival, Jazz at Brienz festival and an invitational performance at the United Nations. This concert will feature the music of UNL Professor Tom Larson as well as works by Jimmy Webb, Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Shorter and Eric Richards.

'Disney On Ice' Adds Second Sunday Performance November 23, 2014

Country Duo, Florida Georgia Line, to Play Pinnacle Bank Arena in February

Updated: 10/17/2014 - The reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year made a surprise appearance on NBC’s TODAY on October 8, joining Al Roker for the weather and forecasting their forthcoming headline dates – ANYTHING GOES TOUR 2015. The superstar duo will bring their seize-the-day attitude and raucous party anthems to arenas worldwide, including a stop at the fabled Madison Square Garden on February 25 in New York City. They will be at the Pinnacle Bank Arena February 13, 2015.

One Youth Choir to Be Selected for Live Performance with Foreigner on Lied Stage

Posted: 10/16/2014 - As part of Foreigner's ongoing charity partnership with the Grammy Foundation, the Lied Center for Performing Arts in partnership with 92.9 The Eagle is asking local middle and high school choirs to audition for the chance to perform Foreigner’s chart topping 1984 hit "I Want to Know What Love Is" during their live performance on the Lied Center stage Nov. 14.
