Bridget Fargen anchors the evening newscasts during the week.
Bridget joined the 1011 News Team in November 2010 as a Video Journalist. She quickly started filling in as the Weekend Morning Anchor and in August 2011, she was promoted to Weekend Evening co-anchor, and later as the Weekday Evening Anchor.
Whether she's covering what's going on at the City/County Building, the Legislature or the latest happenings at UNL, she enjoys getting out and telling the stories that matter most to you!
Before arriving in Nebraska, Bridget worked as the Weekend Anchor and Reporter at WJFW in Rhinelander, Wisconsin where she covered President Obama's Town Hall meeting in Racine, WI and Brett Favre's first game against the Packers at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.
Bridget graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2008 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She grew up in Madison, WI and is loves the Badgers and Brewers. Although now that she calls Lincoln home, she'll adopt the Huskers as her "other" red and white team! She's excited to experience her first full football season in Husker country!
Bridget is married to 10/11 Meteorologist Tony DeGrand. She can thank TV for meeting her fiance, he was a meteorologist at their last station in Rhinelander, WI.
