Katie Farritor joined the 10/11 news team as a content producer in May of 2011.
Katie is a central Nebraskan who grew up in Broken Bow. As a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Journalism in broadcasting, she is looking to bring a young, fresh outlook to the news team.
Katie previously interned with NET where she helped write and edit stories for Nebraska Stories. You can also catch her on public access channel 21 where she stars in a student produced show called Fast Forward or you can watch the series of shorts she created for the program called "Slap of All Trades" on YouTube.
Katie's passion is creative writing. She's enjoyed making stories on paper and camera since she was old enough to write and big enough to hold the family camcorder. Katie would love to write or produce for a national television sit-com or drama someday, but is glad to have the opportunity to learn and grow in her broadcasting career at a prominent news station in Nebraska; 10-11.
Katie loves Husker football and Nebraska, but isn't a fan of the cold. In her spare time, she enjoys nice weather activities like water skiing, sand volleyball, and fishing. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, and going out with friends.
