I knew immediately this was where I wanted to start my career.

"When life gives you lemons, make a fruity juice." The news is never just lemonade. That's why I love what I do; the excitement and unexpected aspects of each day.

I graduated from UNL in May 2012 with majors in broadcasting and advertising and minors in English, history and economics. I started out with several internships in radio but had my first newsroom experience at 10/11 in 2011. I knew immediately this was where I wanted to start my career. I started full time in February 2012 and feel so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people in a city I love.

I grew up in Wilber, Nebraska, the Czech Capital of the U.S. I'm extremely close with my family and am lucky enough to spend lots of time with them. In my free time, I play tennis and sand volleyball and hunt around town for the best bargains. My favorite color is purple and I hate bugs...all of them!
