Brett Baker is an award-winning television news journalist and producer with more than 20 years of broadcast experience.

Brett produces First News Nebraska which airs Monday-Friday from 5-7 a.m.

He comes to KOLN/KGIN from San Antonio, TX where he was the Senior Sports Producer for KSAT and two-time winner of the Associated Press’ Best Sportscast in the state of Texas.

Brett is a proud graduate of the U.S. Military’s Defense Information School. His career has taken to him to 17 countries, covering everything from Presidential visits to the war in the Balkans to the Super Bowl.

He's originally from Malcolm, Nebraska and is very excited to be back working in the area that he calls home.
