Cassie was born and raised in Nebraska, growing up on a farm outside of Norfolk. She attended Wayne State College where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications.

Cassie enjoys the world of news because it gives her the opportunity to learn something new everyday. When she isn't chasing a story, Cassie loves to travel. Her favorite places to visit include Austin, TX, Chicago and Montana. She can also be found at the theater, eating in new restaurants and cheering on the Huskers.
