Mallory Hyland joined the KOLN/KGIN news department in August 2009 as a content producer. She produces the weekend evening shows and posts stories and videos to 1011now.com.

Mallory's favorite part has been covering the 2010 Primary Election. Before working in the newsroom, Mallory was a production assistant at 10/11 and assisted the newscasts by running studio cameras and graphics.

She earned a Bachelors Degree of Journalism in Broadcasting and Advertising at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

She loves spending her time with her friends and family, whether cheering on the Huskers or going shopping. Mallory got married in June 2010 and is enjoying her time as a newlywed.

Mallory was born and raised in Lincoln and the city will always be home for her because of her close relationships with family and friends. She loves having a home cooked meal provided by her mother. She hopes one day to move to Arizona because she loves warm weather.
