Title: Reporter/Anchor

Jason is a Cornhusker through and through. Born in Mullen, Nebraska, Jason grew up in the Sand Hills before moving to North Platte where he graduated high school.

Jason came to 10/11 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he majored in broadcasting, with minors in political science and English with an emphasis in history.

During college, Jason was an intern/sports photographer for KETV in Omaha. He also worked with KUTT-Radio doing color commentary for Doane College football games.

Jason joined the 10/11 News team as a reporter in March 2007, and can now be seen Friday and Saturday nights in the studio, as well as three other days a week delivering reports from the field.

For Jason, journalism is much more about the human interest stories; a mother who can't afford rent, or the family that can't afford health care for its kids. However, Jason also enjoys the excitement of breaking news. His favorite part of being a member of the media is meeting new people and hearing them talk about their life experiences.

Jason believes journalists have a great responsibility to society because of their ability to influence ideas. For that reason, he also loves political reporting because it's a chance to help people understand how our country works.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys basketball, golf, tennis, singing, his Sister Angela, Mom Kristy, Dad Roger, spending time with friends, reading novels, drinking coffee, cheering for the Huskers, and traveling around this great country.

If you see Jason on the street, introduce yourself… he loves to talk!
