Rudy Mezzy had the pleasure of joining the 10/11 Central Nebraska team in April 2012 as a Video Journalist/Weekend Sports Anchor.

Rudy has made his way to Grand Island from Philadelphia, PA and is always looking for ways to inform and entertain viewers.

Rudy’s two loves in life are sports and humor. Rudy combined his love for sports and comedy by editing video and narrating highlights for his fantasy football league as a teenager. Though he never brought home a fantasy championship, the league managers told him if there was one
thing he was good at - it was reporting sports.

Rudy looks forward to bringing that same kind of passion to news and sports reporting in Central Nebraska.

Rudy began television reporting at Temple University in Philadelphia. Rudy anchored sports for Temple Update, a student-run news show. Rudy also interned with Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia, where he was involved in all aspects the sports-rich city had to offer.

When he is not appearing on your television, you might find Rudy catching up on his own television favorites. He also must always keep an eye on his beloved Phillies, Eagles, and Temple Owls. Other than that, Rudy hopes to learn he is not the only Nebraska resident who
strums a ukulele.
