Kevin Sjuts has been with the 10/11 sports team since 2005. Kevin started as the station's weekend sports anchor/reporter, but was promoted to Sports Director in 2007. During that time, Kevin has covered some of Nebraska's biggest sports stories over the past quarter-century - the Big Ten switch, the Husker Athletic Director change, the firing of Bill Callahan, followed by the hiring Bo Pelini.
Whether it be a sunny day at the ballpark, or a Stars game at the Ice Box, Kevin always enjoys a good sporting event. He's had the pleasure of covering the NCAA Volleyball Final Four, College World Series, the Big 12 Championship, and Nebraska's recent bowl games - just to name a few. Kevin also provides in-game color commentary for the live broadcasts of the High School State Basketball Championships.
Kevin feels blessed to work in such a "sports crazy" town. Never has he been anywhere with comparable fans. From high school to Huskers, the support is unmatched. Because of the high interest in athletics across the state, Kevin feels Nebraskans deserve nothing better than an informative and entertaining nightly sportscast.
Even off-duty, its easy to catch Kevin at a local sporting event. He seems to live and breathe sports - and his passion ranges from football to wrestling to golf (that's watching, not playing). He jokes his playing days have passed him by.
Kevin enjoys his spare time with his family. He is married to former Nebraska volleyball player Michelle Lynch. The two have a daughter, Bella, and a son, Paxon. Plus, a dog named Jangles. The Sjuts family is quickly becoming a team of its own!
