Jeff Packer joined the 10/11 Central Nebraska team as the Sports Director in Grand Island in November 2012.

Jeff is a proud Nebraskan, born and raised. He grew up in Omaha, which he considers one of the best up-and-coming sports cities in the country.

In high school, Jeff developed a love for performance in drama and competitive speech. That passion combined with his craziness for sports helped Jeff decide to pursue sports broadcasting.

The next step was the Journalism program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he got excellent experience covering different Husker teams.

When he's not reporting on local events, Jeff is monitoring his own favorite teams. There should be no surprise for viewers when they hear that he's a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. In fact, in February 2012, Jeff bought a share of the team when they opened them to the public. "Sure, it doesn't appreciate and it can't be traded, but it makes for a great story," he says.

Ultimately, Jeff loves Nebraska and the history of teams in it. "Sports aren't just championships and records. They're individual stories waiting to be told," he says.
