Dan Hedman has been a part of the award-winning 10/11 sports team since August of 2007 and loves living in a community that shares his passion for sports.

Dan has followed the Husker football team all over Big 12 country, and was in Jacksonville, Florida when Nebraska won the 2008 Gator Bowl. He covered the firing of Bill Callahan and the hiring of Bo Pelini, and has already seen some of the Cornhuskers state's most historic sports moments.

Dan was in Seattle for the Nebraska volleyball team's thrilling five set win over Washington in the Regional Finals. He's also traveled to Kansas City for the Big 12 men's basketball tournament, as well as Maryland to cover the Husker women's most recent appearence in the "Big Dance."

Dan has enjoyed getting to know the state's student-athletes throughout the high school season and state tournaments, and says it's rare to live in a community that values high school athletics as much as Nebraska.

Before arriving in the Midwest, Dan worked as a sports reporter in Lansing, Michigan (WILX-TV) where he covered both Michigan State and the University of Michigan. He was on the ice for the Spartan hockey team's 2007 National Title, at Super Bowl XL Media day in Detroit and on pit-road at Michigan International Speedway.

Dan graduated from Ithaca College in 2005 with a degree in journalism. He grew up in New Hampshire and still follows the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics.
