4th Annual NVA Vegan Chili Cook-off & Cooking Demo

Event Dates and Times

2/21/2015 - Starts: 3:00 PM - Ends: 5:00 PM
Countryside Community Church, 8787 Pacific St. Omaha, NE 68114
It's that time of year again, time for the annual Nebraska Vegetarian Association chili cook-off!!

RSVP Here: http://www.meetup.com/NEveggie/events/220361460/

Options:
- You may bring a batch of your best vegan chili for the competition
(Chili is strongly encouraged to be vegan, so all can try it. Less sampling = less votes for your chili!)
OR
- You may bring a side to accompany the chili (cornbread, salad, fruits, veggies, crackers, chips, beverage, dessert etc)

Everyone will have the opportunity to try each batch of chili (batches will be assigned a letter). You will then be asked to vote on which chili you liked the best! The winners will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes!

There will also be a hot sauce cooking demo, by Brandon Longwell. He will be making homemade hot sauce from local ingredients! A great opportunity to learn some new cooking skills!

Free, fun event for all ages! Friends and family are welcome.. spread the word! You do not have to be a member of NVA to attend or enter. All are welcome!

Please, remember to label your food item(s) according to known allergens and contents (wheat/gluten, vegan, vegetarian..dairy/eggs, etc).
Please, do try to avoid peanuts and tree nuts (as there are some members with severe allergies).
Providing copies of your recipe, so others can make your recipe at home, would be wonderful!
We suggest bringing a reusable bowl, plate & utensils to use.

Hope to see everyone there!
