The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning until 7:00 p.m. today in central Nebraska.

They say low pressure is forecast to deepen over central Nebraska this afternoon, bringing very strong south winds to the region with sustained winds ranging from 30 to 45 mph, and gusts sometimes reaching 50 to 60 mph.

The National Weather Service says numerous power lines have already been reported down near Fairbury Monday morning, and residents should be careful of property damage.
