A tornado spotted in the Sandhills area of western Nebraska ripped off some roofs and knocked down a radio tower.
National Weather Service observer Wynn Wiens says the tornado Tuesday evening damaged a farmstead about 15 miles south of Mullen, in western Nebraska's Hooker County.
No injuries were reported.
Charlie Munn told North Platte radio station KELN/KOOQ that his barn, shop and two storage sheds were damaged. He says the tin roof off one of the sheds "was wadded and balled up like it would be if someone squashed a pop can."
He also says a 65-foot-tall radio tower and a windmill were toppled.
Wiens' wife, Crystal, took the photo of the tornado seen above.
