Hurricane Guillermo has formed far out in the Pacific Ocean.
The National Hurricane Center says Guillermo's maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph with some strengthening possible Friday. It's expected to weaken Saturday as it moves over cooler water.
Guillermo is centered about 1,100 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. It's moving west near 15 mph.
