The weekend has been another washout along much of the East Coast for people hoping to enjoy some time on the beach or in the ocean.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Danny brought heavy rain and dangerous rip currents from the Carolinas to New England.
As heavy rain fell on the people lining the sidewalks outside Sen. Ted Kennedy's funeral in Boston, a flood watch remained in effect for parts of the Massachusetts coast -- with beaches closed, and some public ferry service canceled.
Along the Connecticut shore, sandbags and water pumps were on standby.
Large waves kept most people out of the water at beaches along the New Jersey shore. Waves as high as 8 feet were reported by late Saturday morning. But by Sunday, wave heights are expected to return to normal.
It's the second straight weekend marred by a tropical storm system in the Atlantic.
