Friday Legislative Hearings Cancelled Due to Winter Storm Warning

Speaker of the Legislature Mike Flood announced the legislative hearings scheduled for Friday afternoon have been cancelled due to numerous blizzard warnings and winter storm watches across the state of Nebraska.

The hearings originally scheduled for Friday afternoon will be rescheduled for Monday, February 13 at 9:30 a.m.

"Bill hearings are an integral part of the legislative process, and it is important for both senators and citizens to be able to attend public hearings," Flood said. "This change in schedule will help keep folks off the roads during potentially unsafe conditions."

That is what make-up days are for. Just kidding. The lobbyists have to hate it, staying here for it and then having to come back to Nebraska from back east again next week.
