As temperatures swing from spring-like, to the coldest we've seen so far this year, some folks are being forced to change the way they get around town.
Pat Radigan of Lincoln says "At first I thought that the cold weather would be nice and keep the snow around and kinda get some winter weather going on. But now that you actually have to live with it and it's not just getting to think about winter weather and it's actually here and it's freezing, it's not as much fun to actually have to deal with it."
Kaitlyn Burke comes from Vancouver where she says weather is warmer. "It got pretty cold really fast actually. I feel like last week it wasn't that bad, you could go without a jacket. Within the last week- ever since that snowfall, it got really cold," said Burke.
As someone who depends somewhat on the weather to get around, Matt Wengert says "I usually walk everywhere because I don't have a car in Lincoln. Its really unfortunate for me.. because I have to walk from the campus all the way to the Capitol every day for work. It's not very fun. It's the kind of weather that like takes your breath away when you walk down and you don't really get it back until you get to your destination."
Adds Radigan "The last few months even with snow I was still able to drive my moped- still be able to get good parking spots. But unfortunately now it's reached dangerous cold, scary cold, I put the moped away until it gets 20-25 degrees warmer. So, the cold has finally forced me to put the moped away for the winter."
