Watches and Warnings

Forecast for Central and Eastern Nebraska

FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2015

Tonight should not be as cold as last night with lows in the upper 20s to low 30s expected. Winds should decrease to about 5 to 10 mph from the southwest.

A surface trough will move through the area Saturday. This will shift our winds to the northwest and cool us down just a bit for the first half of the weekend. Temperatures will still be well above average with highs in the mid 50s to around 60.

An upper level disturbance and cold front should move through the region Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will cool down a bit further for the second half of the weekend, but remain above average. Mostly cloudy skies are expected Saturday night into Sunday thanks to the disturbance. There could be some rain showers in Northeastern Nebraska during that time period.

Dry conditions expected for the first half of next week with high temperatures in the 60s.
