Forecast for Central and Eastern Nebraska

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2014

Lingering clouds, fog, and drizzle will hang tight tonight. Temperatures, once again, will be in the 30s...so there is the possibility for freezing fog and drizzle. Sunday will be cloudy for most of the day ahead of of next weather system. this particular system will bring the chance of light rain to the area Sunday night into Monday morning.

As this system pulls away, cold air fills in behind it changing the rain over to snow Monday night. Right now, it does not like the Lincoln area will see accumulation but there will be more along the Nebraska/South Dakota border.

Most of Tuesday and Christmas Eve look quiet for travel. We have a slight chance for light snow Christmas night and Friday.


TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Patchy fog and drizzle. Lows in the middle 20s to lower 30s. South winds at 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY: Patchy morning fog and drizzle. Partly sunny and mild. Highs in the middle 40s. South winds at 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild. A 30% chance of light rain showers. Lows in the middle 30s. South winds at 10 to 15 mph.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy and mild. Chance of light rain early. Rain will change over to snow Monday night. Highs in the middle 40s. West winds at 10 to 20 mph.
