Czech Fest logo Join the community of Wilber, Nebraska as they kick off the 2011 50th Annual Wilber Czech Festival! The Wilber Czech Festival first came about in 1962 when a few young men noticed the disappearing Czech heritage in Wilber and embarked on a grand adventure of planning and entertainment. The festival grew each year making the Wilber Czech Festival the No. 1 tourist attraction in Nebraska!

50,000 and more come every year from almost every state, even many people from the Czech lands. There are many reasons why so many people come to visit the festival, one of them being the unique Czech Historical Pageant where snippets of legend and history are portrayed in appropriate costumes of ancient days with English narration and Czech music.

No other place in the United States does anything quite like the Czech’s of Wilber do! There will be many special events for the 50th Annual Wilber Czech Festival scheduled on August 5, 6, and 7, packed full of parades, pageants, bands, car shows, costume exhibits and other Czech heritage demonstrations. When you visit the 50th Annual Czech Festival be sure to thank all of the volunteers that make this excellent preservation of history a success!
