Hot and humid conditions have returned
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The passage of a warm front and a southerly breeze will bring warmer and more humid conditions across much of Nebraska this afternoon. Mostly sunny skies are expected for most of central and eastern Nebraska. Scattered t’storms will develop in western Nebraska late in the day and move east-northeast across northern Nebraska this evening and tonight. A few severe t’storms will be possible. It should be mainly dry through this evening in the Lincoln area with a chance for scattered t’storms after midnight.
TODAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy and a bit breezy. 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. South winds at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph.
TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms (mainly after midnight). Some storms could be severe. Lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. South winds at 10 to 15 mph.
FRIDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy with a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe. Highs in the mid 80s to around 90. Southwest winds become northwest at 8 to 18 mph with gusts to 25 mph.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and warm. Slight chance of a t’storm in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s
