LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After a roller coaster 2019 season, the kicker position at Nebraska has seemed to settle down thanks to LSU grad transfer Connor Culp. Culp is 6-of-7 so far this season and made all three of his attempts in the win over Penn State.

“My whole mindset was to get my degree and then if an opportunity opens to go and try and pursue another season and be able to kick again and kind of keep my head down, roll with the punches, and just wait for another opportunity,” says Culp, who started 10 games as the Tigers' place-kicker as a redshirt freshman in 2017.

With five touchbacks, Culp also handles the kickoffs for Nebraska, which also have improved compared to 2019.
