LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraska trimmed a 17-point deficit to 5 in the final minutes, but couldn’t overcome a pesky Michigan State squad in an 84-77 loss on Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The setback is Nebraska’s fourth in a row, which drops the Huskers’ record to 4-7.

Teddy Allen led the Huskers’ comeback effort against Michigan State. The junior guard scored 19 of his team-high 23 points in the second half. Trey McGowens added 20 points for the Huskers, including a high-flying, 1-handed dunk.

Michigan State, who snapped a 3-game losing streak, was led by Aaron Henry’s 27 points.

Nebraska out-rebounded the Spartans and had more points in the paint. However, the Huskers were doomed by 18 turnovers in the loss.
