LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened near 26th and J Streets Tuesday night.
A witness told police he saw a vehicle heading north on 26th Street when a passenger in the backseat began shooting, striking a van parked in the area multiple times. Police said it happened around 10:15 p.m.
Officers found numerous shell casings near 26th and J Streets. Police conducted a neighborhood canvass and processed the scene for digital and forensic evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
The total damage to the van is about $800.
